Our Courageous Kids is a foundation dedicated to empowering kids living in international for vocational success.
We are not in the orphanage business– we do not own or operate any residential centers, but we support those who do. We come alongside centers with funds and one-on-one long-term investment.
Orphanages may apply to become partners of Our Courageous Kids, but are only accepted after a long vetting process including personal visitation.
Once an orphanage becomes a partner, they may apply for grants throughout the year. Currently we have three partner centers- one in Nairobi, KENYA another in Kiserian, KENYA and another in La Ceiba, HONDURAS. These grants will be awarded based on expressed need and funds available.
These grants could ask for requests such as:
- Funding for secondary education school fees/ school supplies for a child identified as having strong academic potential
- Funding for college education for a student identified as having strong academic potential
- An enrichment experience for a child or a group of children (aged 10 and over) which raises their capacity for imagination and continued interest in learning.
- Special celebrations such as Christmas gifts for children during the holidays
